Eligibility. The referred restaurant must sign up on Core or Pro within 90 days of your referral, then stay active on the platform for a full three months before payout. This program is not eligible for single-location hospitality groups.

Disclosure. By law, the restaurant you refer must be told that you're compensated for the introduction.

Frequently asked questions

Who can submit a referral?

Any individual can submit a referral for a restaurant. You can't refer your own restaurant, or another restaurant within your own restaurant group. Loyalist employees aren't eligible to participate.

Are there restrictions on the restaurant being referred?

Yes. The referred restaurant must:

  • Sign up for Loyalist Core or Pro within 90 days of your referral, and stay active for three consecutive months
  • Not have been contacted by Loyalist in the 60 days before you referred them
  • Not already be referred by someone else within the same restaurant group
What if two people refer the same restaurant?

Whoever submitted the referral form first gets the payout. We go by form submission timestamp, so if you're planning to refer someone, don't wait to send in the form.

Is there a cap on how much I can earn?

No. You earn $500 cash for every location that signs and stays active — there's no cap on how many restaurants you can refer.

Is there a deadline to sign up after I refer someone?

Yes. The restaurant must sign a contract for Loyalist Core or Pro within 90 days of your referral. If they haven't signed by then, the referral expires and you'd need to submit it again.

How do I receive my payout?

Once the restaurant you referred has been an active Loyalist customer for three consecutive months, we'll reach out to arrange your $500 cash payout.

Are there any tax implications?

There may be. Referral payouts can count as taxable income — please consult your own tax advisor. Loyalist is not responsible for your tax compliance obligations related to any referral payout.

To qualify for your payout, both you and the restaurant you refer must meet the terms of this program. The referred restaurant must: (a) not have been contacted by Loyalist in the 60 days before your referral; (b) sign a contract for Loyalist Core or Pro within 90 days of your referral and remain an active customer for three consecutive months; and (c) not already be referred by someone else within the same restaurant group — and you may not refer yourself. If more than one person refers the same restaurant or location, the payout goes to whoever submitted the referral form first, based on submission timestamp. Referrals not signed within 90 days expire. One payout is issued per successfully referred location. Current Loyalist employees are not eligible to participate. Loyalist is not responsible for your tax compliance obligations related to any referral payout, and reserves the right to modify or end this program at any time with notice.
